A week has passed since the cyber attack by hackers from the Iranian Black Shadow group, which continued with the publication of databases from the dating site "Atref" and the Moore Institute - and included more than a million records of Israeli citizens.
Now, the accessible information is leading to a wave of hacks into Israeli accounts - including Facebook, Instagram, Gmail and Spotify.
"I signed up for Atref about three and a half years ago," says L. in a conversation with Walla!
technology.
"Suddenly I got an SMS from Google alerting me of a security breach in the account. In the process I received an email warning of an unidentified login to the account and that I should change my password quickly. I went into a mad panic because at the end of my life this email is crazy. It's crazy."

Tom Malka, SOC director at the information security company Security Joes, says that "this is a step we knew would come, the information is roaming outside and the attempt to use the leaked user information to other parties," says " An additional layer of protection will prevent attackers from gaining access. "
"Reusing passwords is a real danger, especially in the face of the latest cyber lure," said Mae Brooks-Kempler, a cyber expert and founder of the Safe Online community on Facebook.
"Using 2-step verification significantly reduces the risk of hacking. You can also check whether your mail accounts have been leaked at the current event or at other events by signing up for the site's have i been pwned" service.
How do we maintain our account?
Change the password for all the accounts that you think are using the same leaked password
Enable 2-step verification - Use two components to connect to an account
Remotely disconnect all devices to which your account is connected (an option that usually exists in security settings)
