Not just groups: a significant innovation on the way to WhatsApp
The "communities" are coming to WhatsApp: the messaging app is exploring a new option that will put you in order in all groups, but is expected to increase the number of participants and the power of the principals.
This is how it is expected to look

Tired of the clutter of WhatsApp groups?
This is just the beginning:
According to a report on the WABetaInfo blog, the messaging app, which is owned by Meta, is exploring the possibility of adding "communities" - similar to the server app Discord - and uniting several groups into one place.
How will it work?
The new feature will allow managers to set up a subgroup within the main group - a kind of "rooms" (yes, as in the chat software of yesteryear) on more specific topics.
Also, managers will have better control over the groups, which can still be joined via a link or QR code.
For example, as a replacement for many different groups of your workplace (and we are sure you have quite a few), managers will have the option to open one group under which there will be additional groups separately, instead of several groups that make you quite a bit of a mess in the eye.

In addition, the new option will reduce the load from existing groups, or alternatively allow group managers to increase the audience - since today it is possible to open a group with up to 256 participants.
Initially, as with any feature in development, the update is expected to reach beta users only, and in the present case it is not clear which versions.
