Next month: A huge asteroid will pass near Earth
With an elliptical shape about 330 meters in size: The US space agency NASA is devoutly monitoring the celestial body that is expected to pass near our planet. In 39 years, it will return for another visit - which may be a little more dangerous

The US space agency NASA has announced that an asteroid, named 4660 Nereus, equivalent in size to the Eiffel Tower - about 330 meters, will pass on December 11 near Earth at a speed of 6.9 thousand km per second.
The U.S. Space Agency has classified the celestial body as a potentially dangerous space rock.
The elliptical celestial body, first identified in 1982, is not expected to hit Earth and pass 3.9 million kilometers - 10 times the distance between Earth and Moon. The orbit of 4660 Nereus around the Sun lasts 1.82 years - very close to two complete orbits of the Earth Country.

Also, the orbit of the celestial body around the sun is considered to be close to our planet, and crosses the orbit of Mars and even the orbit of the Apollo spacecraft.
The next time the asteroid passes us will be in 2031. Meanwhile, in 2060, it is expected to pass only 1.2 million km.
Due to the distance, it is classified by the US Space Agency as a potentially dangerous asteroid, so scientists are following it devoutly.
