High-tech workers celebrated - the waiters at the event served as an object

Faceless and emotionless: An Israeli start-up company was proud of a special event they organized for employees, while the waiters at the event served as human holders for the guests' glasses.

The Israeli cyber company Salt Security organized a festive event for the employees - and on the way decided to make disparaging use of the waiters at the event, who turned humans into an object - as cup holders hidden inside a large cardboard box.

In a post that appeared on the Facebook page of the production company MPlive Event - and managed to absorb quite a bit of criticism at the same time on the official Twitter of the high-tech company, photos from the event were posted showing the waiters' hands coming out of a hole, wearing a white glove.

In another photo, a couple of guests at the event are seen smiling while holding their glasses.

"The members of Salt Security have decided to stop for a moment and thank the team for the hard work," the production company said in a post.

"The employees and the couple came to a crazy salt party (yes, that's the concept), with overpriced food, a fancy champagne bar and a huge party with Mercedes Bend."

In the "Kav LaOved" organization, the employee commented on the publication and told Walla! Technology that "the image that the event company proudly posted on the social network is a more clothed source than anything else. While the high-tech company that hired the events company's services sought to delight its employees and spouses, it turned other event company employees into nothing but objects."

The organization added that "faceless, looks, emotions. Only a device for holding glasses and nothing more. Objects, not people, who do not need to know what their rights are, what they feel. Unfortunately, this phenomenon of treating workers as a commodity represents too many sectors in the Israeli labor market." .

The "Workers' Power" organization said that "one picture faithfully reflects the status of hundreds of thousands of transparent workers in Israel. Even with private companies, but even more serious with the state. But to take their fate into their own hands and become employees with names and rights through a trade union. "

Salt Security did not respond to a request for comment, and it will be published as soon as it is received.
