We all have the boyfriend, family member or spouse who has turned off the "recently seen" option, mostly so we don't find out if they are filtering us out.

Now, according to a report on the WABetaInfo blog, WhatsApp is exploring a new option that will help you hide your connection status from a specific person.

This is a significant change because so far WhatsApp has made it possible to hide the "recently seen" only in a sweeping way - something that many may prefer to avoid.

In the future update you can manually mark which contacts will not be able to see your last connection.

Also, according to the WABetaInfo report, in addition to the new option that will be added to the messaging app, you can also hide the "about" from specific people - information you have written and can be read by your contacts, and your profile pictures.

Initially, as with every feature under test, the update is available to beta users only, and in the current case for iOS users only.
