The lawyers of the probable presidential candidate have assigned the weekly people to be released this Friday. Their request, who denounced

The rumor roared. In the All-Paris, in the political world, in the editorial staff ... An insistent but unverifiable rumor: a newspaper will release a crisp information on Eric Zemmour, the far-right polemicist and more than likely candidate for the presidential election. This newspaper is Closer and it concerns the journalist's private life. The possible publication approaching quickly, the lawyers of Eric Zemmour have summoned the publisher of Closer, this Thursday, before the judicial court of Paris, as revealed by Le Point and as Le Parisien did. to confirm.

Objective: prevent the publication of this article on Éric Zemmour in the November 26 issue of Closer, paper and digital version. An information on the cover, developed over four pages and whose title will be: "He will be a dad in 2022". The paper deals with the alleged pregnancy of her counselor, Sarah Knafo. According to our information, this request was deemed inadmissible on the ground in particular that Eric Zemmour's lawyers could not demonstrate that this information was going to come out.

Éric Zemmour was informed of the imminence of this article by an SMS sent by a person of his entourage.

The latter warned him that a "well-informed source" announced the publication of this information in the Closer of Friday, photos in support, of this supposed pregnancy.

Credible alert.

In a previous issue in October, Closer has indeed put on its front page a photo of Eric Zemmour, with a snapshot of his wife and a hard-hitting or touting title, according to taste: "His wife refuses to divorce!"

"

Sarah Knafo could attack Closer in the coming days for breach of privacy

Considering this coverage "infringing on his privacy and his right to image", Eric Zemmour, who also ensures that the published photograph of his wife was "stolen", seized the judicial court of Nanterre (Hauts-de- Seine) and a hearing has been set for January 3. By receiving the SMS, the journalist therefore has some reasons to be wary. He fears a new article on this supposed pregnancy of his close advisor who would trample on his privacy, and believes that this could not be justified in the name of freedom of information and expression.

His lawyers, Me Olivier Pardo and Me Laurence Dauxin-Nedelec, have therefore decided to launch a summons against the publishing company of the weekly people. They asked the interim judge to ban this publication, highlighting the fundamental right to privacy, based on Article 8 of the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights. and fundamental freedoms and article 9 of the Civil Code which guarantee everyone, regardless of their notoriety, respect for their private life. According to his lawyers, Eric Zemmour did not give his authorization to revelations about his relationship with Sandra Knafo, arguing that such information does not contribute in any way to any debate of general interest.

If Eric Zemmour's lawyers have not succeeded in prohibiting the dissemination of the article, another salvo could come from Sarah Knafo's side.

According to our information, Eric Zemmour's advisor could attack Closer in the coming days for invasion of privacy, because she does not consider herself a public figure.
