If it wasn't at the Institut de la vision in Paris, it would be hard to believe that the Streetlab is not a movie set, but… a place for research!
Imagined in 2012 by José-Alain Sahel, founder of the Institut de la vision, this structure is a unique tool used by researchers and doctors as well as by manufacturers, from lens manufacturers to automotive suppliers.
An “artificial street”, an indoor evolving platform, allows the simulation of various types of urban environments.
Further on, a laboratory apartment full of home automation and various simulators (driving, low vision, etc.) allow the strategies and needs of the participants to be observed.
