Tried on Monday for mortar fire during a CNews program in Lyon last week, members of the group "Les Dalton" claim

Three members of the group "the Dalton" were arrested on November 24 during the filming of "Face à la rue" by CNews for mortar fire. Two of them, adults, appear this afternoon for these facts. In the Guillotière district of the Rhône prefecture, host Jean-Marc Morandini and elected RN Jordan Bardella came to meet residents. They finally faced a hundred police officers deployed to secure the filming locations due to a demonstration by anti-fascist activists. From the street, the show will only have filmed a few inhabitants, a majority of whom were made up of RN activists or sympathizers, as revealed by the newspaper Le Progrès, and an elected PS from Seine-et-Marne, Eduardo Rihan Cypel.

It must be said that the Lyonnais willing to participate in the filming did not rush.

Angry residents of La Guillotière, elected ecologists or the presidential majority all refused the invitation.

“The instrumentalization of La Guillotière must stop.

The remarks on the part of political executives aiming to stir up hatred and to stigmatize in an electoral logic, are strictly unacceptable, ”declared the mayor of Lyon Grégory Doucet in a press release.

“The hundreds of police officers present were there to ensure the safety of Messrs. Bardella and Morandini to the detriment of their public order missions in Lyon,” added LREM deputy from Lyon Thomas Rudigoz.

"They did not want to lend themselves to a journalistic pseudo-exercise"

According to our information, the film crew had also invited "Les Dalton" to participate in the sequence. "Wednesday we are going to do a live broadcast in Lyon, we would like to invite you for an interview on the spot", proposed to them, during a private exchange on Instagram that we were able to consult the programmer of "Face à la rue". At first interested, the rap group finally refused when they learned that the guest would be Jordan Bardella.

“They did not want to lend themselves to a journalistic pseudo-exercise.

The CNews team of journalists knows what they are doing, they wanted to drag them onto political terrain with representatives of the far right.

For me, concerning the mortar fire,

the Daltons

have

the excuse of provocation

, a notion that existed legally at one time, ”says their lawyer Me David Metaxas to Le Parisien.

At the beginning of the month, Les Daltons had already been invited to the Bolloré group, in the C8 program “Touche pas à mon poste”.

On November 24, the very day of the show, the CNews team would have finally canceled the invitation of the Daltons, after discussions with state services. "A live arrest would not have been the best effect in this program," says a police officer without specifying the reasons which would have led to arrests. Contacted, the programmer of "Face à la rue" was not reachable. Three “Dalton” finally went to La Guillotière and used mortars. “They had first prepared a press release, but they preferred to make a splash. It's their signature, ”explains their lawyer. A "coup d'etat" which could cost them dearly. They are judged in immediate appearance this Monday afternoon for "willful violence with a weapon" and risk up to five years in prison.
