It is the first victim of the bad weather which is currently affecting the north of France.
As reported by BFMTV and La Voix du Nord, a woman aged over 80 living in Borre (North) was found dead on Monday in her cellar, which had been flooded by 70 cm of water.
It is the neighbor of the victim who found the body and notified the emergency services, who could only note his death, reports the news channel.

This Sunday, the firefighters carried out about sixty evacuations in connection with heavy precipitation which overflowed the Lys.
The Saint-Omer sector (Pas-de-Calais) has also been affected by flooding of homes, industrial buildings or public roads, requiring the intervention of firefighters on numerous occasions, according to actu.fr.
This rise in the water level is linked to "an important rainy episode" which shifted towards Belgium but caused, in its path, "significant overflows on the Lys upstream and Lawe-Clarence rivers. "In Pas-de-Calais, and on the Lys basin in the North, said the Vigicrues site.
