The Dutch Agency for Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection usually provides information on topics such as nuclear waste shipments or new nuclear research laboratories. On Thursday, however, the agency published an article with the absurd title: "Do you have a quantum pendant or negative ion jewelry?"
The collars and bracelets have names such as “Energy Armor” and advertise alleged capabilities that are repeatedly presented on the internet as beneficial to health and protection against the supposed dangers of 5G radiation. In fact, due to their low level of radioactive radiation, the products themselves are said to pose a health risk, as the Dutch authority now reports.
"Those who wear the products are exposed to this radiation, which can be harmful to their health," says the agency, which previously had the products examined in a laboratory run by the Dutch health authority.
The products listed also include a bracelet especially for children, an "athlete's necklace" and a round amulet that is advertised as a "quantum pendant".
The authority also announced that the sale of the products was immediately prohibited under Dutch law.
The dealers have been informed about it.
Customers should first stow the products in a sealed bag in a drawer.
Due to the radiation, they should not simply be disposed of with household waste.
Market for alleged anti-5G products
The numerous conspiracy theories about an alleged health risk posed by the 5G mobile communications standard have long since developed a market for obscure products on the Internet.
The products offered there cost between around ten and several hundred euros.
In fact, to this day, and despite extensive studies on the subject, there is no evidence of a health risk from 5G radiation, as the World Health Organization emphasizes.
The German Federal Office for Radiation Protection confirms this assessment.
