It is the symbol of Audi's sportiness on the road and derives directly from the world of racing.

The new R8 V10 performance RWD also benefits from an injection of power (which adds 30 HP) and torque (with a plus 10 Nm) that propel it into the world of super sports cars, but a bit for everyone.

There are two configurations available, namely Coupé and Spyder, and its closest relative is called the Audi R8 LMS GT4 which runs on the track.

The engine is the iconic V10 5.2 FSI naturally aspirated and the trim and electronics calibration is adapted according to the two-wheel drive, even for controlled drift and pure fun behind the wheel.

For the first time on the R8, technical details such as carbon ceramic brakes and dynamic steering are also available.

A recent but already rich history, that of Audi R8 RWS, supercar with four rings with rear wheel drive, whose first series debuted in 2018, in a limited edition of 999 units. The model of the Audi Sport family was conceived to celebrate the brand's victorious experience in Gran Turismo competitions, both in the GT3 and GT4 categories. With the entry into the price list of the new generation of the four-ring sports car, the Audi R8 2WD took on the name RWD (Rear Wheel Drive), becoming a permanent model in the range.

With its closest version, the circuit version, the street version shares more than 60% of the components, which is why the R8 V10 RWD is the closest Audi around to racing. With the performance variant, more horsepower and torque have been added that bring it even closer to its racing 'cousin'. At the heart of the R8 performance is the mid-mounted V10 5.2 FSI, which delivers 570PS at 8000rpm and 550Nm of torque at 6400rpm. All this translates into numbers such as those relating to the sprint from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.7 seconds or to the maximum speed of 329 km / h. Similar values for the Spyder variant, credited with a 0-100 km / h in 3.8 seconds and a maximum peak of 327 km / h.

The 'dress' of the R8 V10 performance RWD is represented by the Audi Space Frame body in aluminum and plastic material reinforced with carbon fiber.

The design is freely inspired by the GT4 racing version and is characterized by the single frame in matt black and the vertical strips that divide the large front air intakes.

Available in ten colors, including the metallic Ascari Blue color, hitherto reserved for the Audi R8 V10 performance quattro, Audi R8 V10 performance RWD will reach Italian dealerships in the first quarter of 2022 with prices from 168,650 euros for the Coupé variant and from 181950 euros for the Spyder version.
