Historical upheaval: The Chinese social network has for the first time managed to occupy the first place in the global ranking of sites - so at least according to a study by the cloud services company Cloudflare.

The leap of the Chinese social network continues:
According to a study by the cloud services company Cloudflare, Tiktok managed to oust Google for the first time - and became the most popular website in the world in 2021. By comparison, last year the app was ranked only 7th.
In second and third place are Google and Facebook - respectively.
In fourth place is the website of the software giant Microsoft, followed immediately by Apple, with Apple.com.
Netflix ranks seventh, while YouTube, which is also owned by Google, ranks only eighth in Cloudflare's rankings.

Tiktok's ranking comes in the first place after a very successful year for the Chinese social network, which managed to become the app with the highest number of downloads in 2020 - and overtake Facebook.
However, it is important to take Cloudflare's rating under limited warranty.
The company did not provide full information on the trend analysis, noting that the ranking is calculated "using cumulative data it has on global network traffic patterns."
