A person seeking employment was, according to information from Mediapart, deprived of income for a month between September and October by Pôle emploi for having sent his applications by letters and not by emails.

A process judged as "no longer corresponding to the standards adopted by companies for many years" which earned him a delisting for "insufficient actions to find a job".

Unemployed looking for work in the Paris region for several years, Patrick (the assumed name used by Mediapart) receives 507.30 euros monthly specific solidarity allowance. A sum of which he was deprived for a month. He seized the Administrative Court and a request was sent to Pôle emploi at the end of November, according to the investigative media. The company, which has responded neither to the requests of Mediapart nor to those of the Parisian, has one month to respond.

The beneficiary in active search had nevertheless complied with the control of his procedures and seemed to comply with the requirements of Pôle Emploi.

When the control was triggered, a few weeks before his delisting, he sent a file of around sixty pages to Pôle emploi.

"I provided exhaustive responses to the questionnaire as well as copies of 29 applications sent to employers, accompanied by recommended notices," he underlines in the Mediapart article.

867,000 radiations since the start of the year

A warning letter accuses him first of not having provided any evidence to prove his research efforts.

After pointing out to the organization that he had sent a 66-page envelope and that only the first seven had been taken into account, he learned two weeks later that he had indeed been struck off, but this time for having sent his candidacies by La Poste.

To explain this choice Patrick had however informed Pôle emploi that he was in a digital precarious situation, and that he preferred to stand out among employers by means of a letter sent by registered mail. "Your situation does not justify the impossibility of using dematerialized modes of communication (cell phone, email, computer) such as the Pôle Emploi services recommended to you in order to optimize your chances of recruitment, ”he was told by the deputy regional director.

Supported by the CGT of Private Jobs, which sent him a press release, Patrick points out several irregularities in the processing of his file.

Among them, the fact that he was canceled retroactively while the official bulletin of the organization specifies that this has not been possible since 2012. According to the CGT, which calls for demonstrations against the reform of unemployment benefit, 867 000 radiations have already been carried out in 2021.
