Tragic New Year's Eve in Colombes (Hauts-de-Seine).
A resident of rue de Bellevue died after receiving at least one stab from the woman he was staying at his home during the passage of the new year.
It is around two o'clock in the morning in this residential area when this woman takes refuge with the neighbors and warns the police.
She explains that she has just injured her companion during a fight involving alcohol.
Around 2:30 am the police arrive on site and discover in this house the body of the owner lying on the ground.
“His left hand is injured from two gashes.
He bled a lot and he is unconscious ”, specifies a source close to the case.
The firefighters then a team of Samu arrive on the scene and try to resuscitate the victim, in cardio-respiratory arrest.
Their efforts were in vain and his death was declared at 3:20 a.m.
An alcoholic fight at the origin of the drama
Meanwhile, officials are interested in the woman who called them.
She is still there and visibly under the influence of alcohol.
"She says she is homeless and would have spent the evening drinking with the victim in her house," explains our source.
An argument allegedly erupted and she defended herself with a knife before fleeing from the house.
She was taken into police custody for "willful violence resulting in death".
An autopsy was ordered by the Nanterre public prosecutor's office and should make it possible to better understand how this man died.
