Twenty-seven cars were completely set on fire and nine were affected by propagation during the night of New Year's Eve in Yvelines.
The security forces wiped projectiles seventeen times in many places of the department which gave rise to eleven retaliatory shots with stun grenades or defense bullet launchers.
An official was slightly injured in Sartrouville.
The police arrested six suspects and four others in Clayes-sous-Bois.
“All the sensitive areas of the department have been impacted, such as Mantes-la-Jolie, Mantes-la-Ville, Limay, Les Mureaux, Chanteloup-les-Vignes, Trappes, La Verrière, Les Clayes-sous-Bois and two cars were even burned in Loges-en-Josas, one of the most peaceful towns, said a police officer.
The car fires started around 7 p.m. and then there were attacks, with mortar jets, carried out on our colleagues.

A police officer injured in an attack in Sartrouville
It was in Sartrouville, rue Maeterlinck, in the popular districts of the plateau, that an official suffered a punch in the face. At around 1:58 am, the departmental intervention company was attacked by a group made up of about fifteen attackers who threw stones at them. The police resisted and even arrested six suspects, aged 19 to 26, who were taken into custody at the police station. Four other young people were arrested in Clayes-sous-Bois for throwing mortars.
The departmental representative of the Alliance union, Julien Le Cam notes that “these acts of violence affected all the districts of the department throughout the night.
No very serious fact was noted even though I regret that an official was injured.
The system implemented worked and the troublemakers were contained.
For example, my colleagues from the intervention company faced around 30 assailants.
No injuries were to be deplored and no major destruction occurred during this intervention.
As for the ten people arrested, I hope that the legal consequences will be up to the task ”.
