That will be expensive: In the Japanese capital Tokyo, a Ferrari F12tdf crashed into a wall.

The Italian super sports car was only built 799 times.

Tokyo - It's hard to guess how many cars thunder into a wall every day - but it should be quite a lot.

In most cases, however, it is as uninteresting as the sack of rice that has literally fallen over in China.

The situation is different, of course, with a sinfully expensive super sports car - of course, crash images quickly make the rounds in the social median.

Just recently a Ferrari 458 Speciale flew off the road in Switzerland and hit a tree.

A rare Ferrari F12tdf has now been caught in Japan - it had to be provisionally "repaired" to be removed, as reported by 24auto.de.

Sad sight: a demolished Ferrari F12tdf is being transported away in Japan - adhesive tape holds the front together.

The Ferrari F12tdf (Tour de France) is a special edition limited to 799 copies of the F12berlinetta produced from 2012 to 2017. The engineers increased the output of the V12 front engine from 740 to 780 hp, and the maximum torque increased from 680 to 705 Nm. In contrast to the F12berlinetta, the tdf variant has all-wheel steering. The top speed of 340 km / h is identical for both vehicles. In terms of price, however, the two models are far apart: while the F12berlinetta was available from a “slim” 268,400 euros, the F12tdf was only available from at least 379,000 euros - provided that one of the limited editions was even bought. In the meantime, some of the tdf models are being traded at auctions for far more than double the original price. (Legendary Ferrari F40 burns out:A fortune goes up in flames here)

Ferrari F12tdf crashes into wall - several posts on Twitter

For the owner of a Ferrari F12tdf in Japan, the amount of horsepower may have been a bit too much: he pushed the vehicle against a road barrier near the Shibaura intersection in Tokyo.

Judging by the pictures, no other vehicle was involved.

There are several posts on Twitter about the incident.

On the one hand, the scene of the accident can be seen - on the other hand, the removal of the Italian super sports car.

The front of the vehicle was fixed with adhesive tape - possibly so that no parts are lost.

The driver of a Porsche recently came up with a different solution after a violent crash: he stuck his broken bumper under the tailgate - and just drove on.

The problem with such rare vehicles: They are almost irreplaceable.

In the case of the Ferrari F12tdf that has now crashed in Japan, judging by the pictures, there is still hope of rescue - provided the vehicle has no serious hidden damage.

But one thing is certain: repairs will not be cheap.
