In real time, no one wanted to put on this series a penny.
Today, it is worth half a billion dollars to Netflix

In the early fall, "Seinfeld" went up on Netflix, after the streaming service paid a huge sum of at least half a billion dollars for it. In real time, however, NBC did not want to invest a penny in it. Most of the channel's executives did not believe her, and only thanks to one person did she get green: Rick Ludwin, one of the network's thread pullers, who spent his personal money to fund the project. Even so, the first season included only four episodes in addition to the pilot - an unusually small amount, which indicated a lack of trust in it.
And now that "Seinfeld" is starring in the world's most powerful entertainment platform, this is an opportunity to return to its making story and also to these five episodes, which laid the foundations for what will become the most successful sitcom of all time.
All this is done by Oren Yossifovich in the binger podcast from the podium, which this time is dedicated to the early days of "Seinfeld" and a brief overview of its first five episodes. These are rather infamous episodes,But watching them again reveals that they are much better and more interesting than is commonly remembered.
