Anyone remember that until 2016 the Instagram feed was displayed in chronological order?
That is, the new posts that were presented were the most recent that the accounts you are tracking have uploaded, and their upload order was not based on some mysterious algorithm that calculated for you - and not always with much success - what do you most want or need to see?
Then history returns.
About a month ago, the social network from Beta promised to return the chronological feed due to the demands of the surfers, who did not like the fact that Instagram determines the order and importance of their content for them, and now it is finally starting to happen.
Lucky users have already noticed that Instagram has returned the chronological feed option in good time, but it should be emphasized that this is currently only in an experimental phase, and that the feature is not yet available in all accounts.
But beyond that, the equally important report is that soon Instagram will allow us all to choose from three different feeds: the existing and problematic algorithm feed called Home;
The shrinking chronological feed dubbed Following;
And a new, intriguing feed called Favorites, which actually allows the user to compile a list of favorite content creators, and this feed configuration will make sure you do not miss any of their posts.
You can switch between the three forms of feeds with one simple click, and Instagram has ensured that the update will be launched no later than June for all app users.
Were we wrong?
