For a large portion of drivers everything that happens on the dashboard in front of them in terms of bulbs is one big puzzle.
As far as they are concerned, as long as the line of fuel is close to the full side and the speedometer does not exceed the allowable one near the camera - that is pretty much all the information they need to get.
But the dashboard of our car is more or less the main means of communication it has with us.
Through it she tells us not only how much fuel we have or what the condition of our lights is, but much more information.
And even if you are familiar with these different and weird bulbs - there is a good chance that one of the last cold mornings you also came across a completely different bulb.

Yellow / orange light bulb with snowflake and road (Photo: manufacturer's website)
This bulb where there is a snowflake against a road background or a snowflake only that will appear as yellow as all the warning lights (and unlike the warning lights in red).
This marking appears automatically by the car when the outside temperature measured by it is less than 4-3 degrees and in any case close to 0.
In some cars below 0 degrees the marking will turn red.
This light bulb has two purposes: the first is to warn the driver that there is a chance of frost on the road and that he must drive with caution.
The second goal is to update that the stability control works in snow mode, in some cars the stability control knows to switch to driving mode in frost automatically.
The change in the nature of the action is intended to allow the wheels a small amount of rotation in order to achieve a grip even on ground with a small layer of ice on it.

By the way, even if you left the house and the temperature was 5 degrees or it is the temperature that the smartphone or cell phone shows you, the reading in the car may be a little different.
This is due to the location of the temperature sensors in the cars which are often located at the bottom of the front bumper, where, close to the road the temperature reading may be lower, but it is the one that should interest you.
What does this mean for you?
Mostly awareness of the poorer grip conditions.
That is, keep more distance from the vehicle in front of you.
Adjust your travel speed to these grip conditions at curves.
And generally take into account that stopping distances will be longer due to the less grip, so drive slower, or start braking earlier.
