"
No vaccino, no reddito
"
(No vaccine, no income)
: this slogan is used by the Italian press to characterize Mario Draghi's new measure.
In Italy, from February 1, the citizenship income, equivalent to the RSA in France, will be granted only to those who obtain the basic “
green pass
”.
Equivalent to the health pass, it is obtained either by proof of complete vaccination or by a negative test valid for 48 hours.
Therefore, entry to Pôle emploi and public services will be prohibited for non-vaccinated people, reports the Italian daily
La Repubblica.

Citizenship income in Italy is for individuals who are out of work or on low incomes.
At the end of September 2021, around 1.3 million families benefited from this allowance, according to data from the National Agency for Active Policies for the Labor Market (Anpal).
However, according to a finance law, it is compulsory for these recipients to physically present themselves at the employment office at least once a month, otherwise they will lose their compensation.
To date about 10% of them would not have a vaccination pass.
A minimum income
Launched by the Five Star Movement in 2019, this citizenship income aims to "
abolish poverty
".
It amounts to 780 euros per month for a single person and up to 1330 euros for a family with three children, two of whom are minors.
According to the National Agency of the Ministry of Labour, “
more than half of the beneficiaries have had no work experience in the last three years and in a quarter of the cases they are long-term unemployed.

Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi believes the unvaccinated are the source of "
most of
the country's problems".
Faced with a rebound in contagions due to the Omicron variant, the Italian government introduced on Monday January 10 the “super green pass”, equivalent to the vaccine pass.
It is required in transport, hotels, restaurant terraces, swimming pools and sports halls, but also in buses, trains, planes, ships and ski resorts.
At the beginning of January, the government already imposed vaccination on Italians over 50 and announced that the two million employees over 50 must, by February 15, hold a vaccination pass under penalty of fines.
