Forester e-Boxer, the first model of the House of the Pleiades electrified with a mild hybrid system, on the occasion of the debut of the Model Year 2022 is enriched by the special 4dventure version designed for all lovers of outdoor activities and for those who love sports in general and dynamic life. A series of details makes Forester 4dventure unique both in the exterior and interior design, with a fil rouge - or rather orange - that combines the interventions on the bodywork (for example the inserts that stand out on the black of the front and rear bumpers, on the side profiles and in the roof bars) but also inside.

Orange contrasts with the black that dominates the grille in the classic Forester nose, surrounds the fog lights and embellishes the 18-inch alloy wheels.

Two colors that blend in the special e-Boxer badge on the tailgate and under the mirrors, also the latter (as a result of the MY22) with a black finish

Forester 4dventure, like all Subaru it never stops

In the interior, the Forester 4dventure highlights the contrast with orange on the profiles of the air vents and gearbox, in the seams of the dashboard, steering wheel, door panels and seats. The latter - precisely to meet the needs of those who love outdoor adventures, including off-road driving - are covered in water-repellent fabric and, together with the waterproof mats and trunk tub, allow you to face any weather scenario and track. with complete peace of mind.

This new 4dventure version - they underline in Subaru Italia - really lacks nothing as this set-up of the Forester offers the entire standard equipment of the Premium with the sole exception of the leather seats (replaced by the new water-repellent sports coating) of the aluminum pedals and heated rear seats.

This variant, like the rest of the Forester range for Model Year 2022, offers a redesigned exterior design to make it more sporty and aggressive. In particular, the shape of the optical groups - which leave more space for the increased size of the mask - results in a feeling of greater solidity and robustness. In the lower part of the front bumper shield the reinterpretation of the fog lights also stands out, which in the 4dventure version have a typical hexagonal LED shape.

As befits an SUV that is perfect for everyday use in the city but is also perfect for sporting life and off-road adventures, the presence of chrome finishes has been reduced in favor of body-colored treatments (I am an example door handles) or in black, as in the front grille, to improve practicality and at the same time make the look of this model sophisticated.

There are also many innovations that are 'not seen' but which are appreciated by driving the car, as happened in a test in the Cantù and Como area.

This is the case of the additional functions present in the latest generation of EyeSight, now in its fourth technical update.

This is the Autonomous Emergency Steering which intervenes when the action of the Pre-Colision Braking Assist is not sufficient.

Thanks to the stereo camera and the rear radar the lines of the carriageway are identified and in real time the system realizes an evaluation of the usable space to avoid a possible collision through an automatic support steering.

Also new are Lane Centring Control and Preceding Vehicle Adaptive Steering Control which reduce driver fatigue and stress by recognizing lane lines together with the vehicle in front to assist in steering while keeping Forester in the center of the lane.

The X-Mode all-wheel drive control system is also further improved with the Model Year 2022, thanks to technical features that allow it to be re-activated at low speeds after exceeding a certain speed threshold had caused it to be deactivated.

We remind you that the X-Mode allows the adjustment of the engine, the AWD four-wheel drive system and the braking system to better tackle routes in bad conditions or with slippery surfaces.

Forester's SI-Drive system integrates Active Shift Control for the first time, which works only in Sport mode: braking before a bend, the car automatically simulates a downshift with the dual effect of increasing the engine brake when cornering and facilitate the exit with a prompt acceleration.

Built on the SGP platform (Subaru Global Platform), it has led to larger dimensions of the car body - and with an increased wheelbase of 29 mm compared to the previous generation - Subaru Forester also confirms the e-Boxer propulsion system that combines the petrol engine for the MY22. FB20, suitably optimized in terms of fuel consumption and modified to be used exclusively on hybrid models. Aspirated and powered by direct injection, it delivers a power of 150 Hp and a maximum torque of 194 Nm at 4000 rpm.

In the e-Boxer it is completed by a permanent magnet electric unit, which delivers an output of 12.3 kW (16.7 Hp) and an additional torque of 65 Nm. Installed longitudinally inside the Hybrid Lineartronic gearbox it is connected to a 13.5 kW lithium-ion battery which is housed in a ventilated container under the luggage compartment.

Three operating modes: EV driving which uses only the electric motor; Motor Assist driving which combines the heat engine with the electric one and finally Engine driving which uses the heat engine only to recharge the battery. The price list of the Forester 4dventure is set at 42,500 euros (500 less than the Premium version) with the new great advantage of insurance for 8 years with unlimited mileage.
