In Florida, a Tesla Model S Plaid and Harley-Davidson's Livewire e-motorcycle were in a drag race.
With a clear outcome.
Clearwater (USA) – There have been some interesting duels on the world's drag racetracks.
For example, the Jefferson County Sheriff competed in his Ford Explorer against a Tesla Model Y and a Chevrolet ZL1 Camaro.
And the Model S from Tesla has already fought a few duels on the quarter mile, including against different superbikes.
Thanks to its unbelievable acceleration, the electric car always emerged as the winner.
But what about when the Model S competes with an e-motorcycle?

Tesla: Model S vs. E-Motorcycle - drag race with a clear winner
The answer is provided by a video uploaded to YouTube by the “Tesla Plaid Channel”, as reported by 24auto.de.
It shows the duel between a Model S and the Harley-Davidson Livewire.
The race was held at the Showtime Speedway in Clearwater, but only over the furlong.

The Livewire is Harley-Davidson's first all-electric motorcycle.
It offers the same instant torque that electric cars are known for and has a top speed of 95 mph (about 153 km/h).
At around 45 kilograms, the machine is also significantly lighter than the Tesla (2,161 kg).
Considering that superbikes with internal combustion engines were able to outrun the Model S Plaid before they were caught, there is an additional tension inherent in this duel.
Because the Harley-Davidson Livewire also drives away from the Tesla.

Tesla: Model S against E-Motorcycle - Harley-Davidson has no chance - despite modifications
At least initially.
But it doesn't take long for the Tesla Model S Plaid to catch up and pass the e-motorcycle, even though the owner modified the Harley-Davidson Livewire to achieve more top speed.
But the 105 hp are obviously not enough in the duel against the 1,020 hp Stromer.
The Tesla Model S Plaid covered the route in just 6.1 seconds and reached a top speed of 119.81 mph (about 193 km/h).
The Harley-Davidson Livewire took about 7.27 seconds and was clocked at 97.93 mph (157.6 km/h).
The gap was therefore about 0.76 seconds.
This would probably have been even clearer if the duel had gone the full quarter mile.
