"Nantes revolted", is it soon over?
The Minister of the Interior announces that he has launched the procedure for the dissolution of this far left group.
Gérald Darmanin had been seized by several elected officials in recent hours, after the degradation of shops in the city center of Nantes (Loire-Atlantique) on Friday, on the sidelines of an undeclared antifa demonstration in the city "against the State, against the policemen”.
Several people were also injured.
“I decided to initiate the contradictory which would allow the dissolution of this de facto grouping”, revealed Gérald Darmanin to the National Assembly, in response to a question from the LREM deputy for Loire-Atlantique Varie Oppelt.
In an interview given to the newspaper Ouest-France, this Tuesday, the prefect of Loire-Atlantique, Didier Martin, justified the non-dissolution of this group.
“It is with firmness and authority that we approach these subjects and I deplore these abuses.
I hear the political voices rising.
It is very nice to remind us that the procedure for dissolving a group of facts exists in the texts, but it did not escape my predecessors or myself that it was not activated at this day and it's not as simple as you might think," he explained.
