Trailer for the movie "Death on the Nile" (Film Forum)

In recent years Disney has been producing new adaptations of its animated classics, and no film has escaped it. One of the following on target is "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs," and as the wind blows, the studio tried to come out enlightened with ethnically diverse casting. For the role of Snow White, who always played white actresses, they cast the American-Latin Rachel Zegler, and for the role of the evil witch, the Israeli Gal Gadot.

All this did not help the studio to avoid the messiah of identities, due to the problematic nature of the film, which is already hidden in its name. And so, actor Peter Dinklage came out yesterday against the production, and his remarks grabbed the headlines in the American entertainment media.

Dinklage, it will be recalled, broke out in "Game of Thrones," and is now promoting "Sirno" starring him.

It rises to a height of 1.53, and does not understand why Disney insists on recycling this film.

"Look at what you're doing, it makes no sense," he said in Mark Maroon's popular podcast.

"You take a progressive step when you cast a Latin actress like Snow White, but in the first place you take a step back from Dane when you tell this story about seven dwarfs living in a cave, what the hell are you doing? I was probably not loud enough in my attempts to advance our agenda."

Dinklage added that he did not outright rule out the project itself, but only to the extent that "it will be done with the most progressive spin possible."

Disney of course rushed to try to put out the fire.

According to them, they do intend to approach the story with a different approach, in order to "avoid perpetuating the stereotypes that were in the animated classic".

The studios also stated that throughout the development of the project, they "consult with the dwarf community (so originally").

Now, it remains only to wait for the rest of the reactions and see what happens to the production.

Meanwhile, Gal Gadot's "Death on the Nile" will be released as early as next month, and is expected to sink into the abyss - partly because it stars Armie Hammer, who after the filming published a wealth of evidence against him for sexual offenses, and became a Hollywood assignment.
