In terms of anti-Covid vaccination, the whole world has been watching Israel for more than a year.
The Hebrew state was indeed one of the first to launch its national campaign - very effective - in December 2020, then again the first to recommend a third so-called "booster" dose.
Faced with the skyrocketing number of new cases, Tel Aviv seems ready today to authorize a fourth dose for its entire adult population, in addition to the immunocompromised, the over 60s, nursing staff and people at risk. in serious form, for whom the green light has already been given.
At least that's the recommendation that was made on Tuesday by Israel's National Covid-19 Advisory Committee.
This second booster could be administered five months after the third dose, if the Ministry of Health endorses the position of the experts.
About half of Israelis have received three doses, and two-thirds have had two.
