The introductory article to Smart Home that we published here a few months ago was one of the articles you liked.

Therefore, in a kind of small follow-up article, we offer and remind those who still use manual means, some devices that will help you save and better manage your home in terms of heating, without overheating.

Water heating for the shower

A hot shower in the winter is an important matter, but how many times have you forgotten the boiler is on?

And what about the possibility of turning on the boiler from the road or before you leave work, so that when you get home from the frost you can go straight into a boiling shower?

What needs to be done is to simply replace the boiler's old and "stupid" switch with a smart switch.

Express owners can find quite a few Chinese brands of smart switches, such as Livolo, Sonoff and others, at a cost of a few tens of shekels that do the job.

They are simple, both in operation and appearance, but will allow you to turn on the boiler from the app, and they are also often compatible with voice assistants like Google and Alexa.

But for those who want a more elegant solution, we have a local brand that has already become synonymous with a smart boiler - Switcher.

Switcher switches are more expensive (around NIS 200 per switch), but they also offer much more: First, they are beautifully designed, with glass panels and bulbs underneath, and fit any common Israeli David switch - from the Gavis / Nisco box, to the elongated vertical switch housings Of yesteryear.

In fact, they have a really cute guide on the site with pictures of existing switches - that by the look of the existing switch, you will know which switch is right for you.

The switch also connects to a smart app, and most importantly - you can set the boiler to turn off automatically after a set operating time, so that you will never forget it is just on.

And just to mention that by law, installation of a smart boiler switch must be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Home heating

Everyone knows that the most efficient and cost-effective means of heating is the air conditioner.

But it too can be made even more effective.

The new air conditioners currently sold on the market, some offer Wi-Fi capabilities and built-in smart capabilities, and if you happen to be buying a new home air conditioner or renovating, it is worth checking out this option (although it may cost you a little more).

The seemingly undisputed queen of the field of smart air conditioners and application from an app, is of course Sensibo, also Israeli.

Sensivo has several models, most of which are not cheap - that study the remote control of your air conditioner and replace it with a smart infrared viewfinder that is controlled via an app.

Sensivo's app is mature and excellent, and contains lots of functions from constant temperature control, to automatically turning off the air conditioner when you leave the house, or automatic operation according to weather conditions.

Nowadays Sensivo also combines it with a series of complementary products, such as its own air purifier and motion sensors, so that the air conditioner is only activated when someone is in the room, or when you turn on the purifier, the Sensivo air conditioner unit will automatically switch it to ventilation.

Sensibo has a whole system, but as mentioned, a bit expensive.

A new claim to the crown of smart control of the air conditioner is ... a switch from the previous break.

The company a few weeks ago came out with its own sensor, a direct competitor to the Sensivo, offering similar functionality and a bit cheaper.

If you already have a Sensivo and you do not want another app on the phone, this is an option to consider, which is also cheaper.

Warming the throat and abdomen

And we will blow her daughter.

Or soup.

In the cold winter that lands on us it is always good to drink tea or hot soup, and for that you need boiling water, right?

So here too there are some smart options.

In Israel, some smart kettles are sold relatively cheaply, such as can be ordered via Bluetooth, from Shiomi itself or companies from its ecosystem, such as Viomi, which is better known from the field of robotic vacuum cleaners.

The cost of a smart kettle is similar to the previous products in the article, and hovers around NIS 250.

Hamilton has a model of Shiomi, the Mi Kettle that also connects to the company's smart home app, and you can also set an exact water temperature (50 degrees for baby food, 80 degrees for tea, 90 degrees for coffee or boiling water at 100 degrees) and keep it , Although at the time of writing we did not find it on the site, we may be out of stock at the moment.

Similarly, in the Home Center you will find a similar Viomi kettle, with a digital temperature display, only in black, also for NIS 250.

Saturation, and we will have a warm winter - and smart!
