US police officer Annette Goodyear was a student traffic controller at a middle school in Maryland.

The police officer was working as a student traffic controller at the local middle school when a car shot towards her.
At the same moment, a young girl wanted to cross the street at the spot.

Goodyear then signals the driver to stop.
But instead of braking, she keeps racing towards the student and the policewoman.
She then reacts with presence of mind and pushes the girl out of the way.

After the accident, the police officer initially remained on the ground, as a video of the incident shows.
She suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.
But he was released a short time later.
The girl escaped with a fright, thanks to Goodyear's intervention.

The policewoman later explained that she had no regrets about her assignment, because as a mother "the safety of the children is the most important thing".
At the moment, she didn't care that she was hit by the car.
The Mayor of North East now wants to commend them for their bravery and quick action.

And Goodyear is also celebrated on the Internet and called a "true heroine".
In addition, you should give her a medal, some Facebook users demand under a post in which the video was shared.
"That's what it means to catch a bullet for someone, to sacrifice your life to save someone else.
She didn't think about it - she just did what was necessary to save the girl."
But Goodyear is not the only US police officer risking her life for others.
