Tesla wants to significantly expand its supercharger network worldwide.
Numerous new locations are also to be built in Germany in 2022.
Austin (USA) – Electric mobility is becoming increasingly popular around the world.
The sales figures continue to rise.
Accordingly, more charging stations are required.
In Germany alone, one million public charging stations are to be built by 2030.
And companies like Tesla also want to further expand their charging infrastructure, as reported by 24auto.de.
.
The number of superchargers is expected to triple in the coming years.
And Tesla also wants to significantly expand its supercharger network in Germany, as a map on the US company's website shows.
The electric car manufacturer currently operates 112 stations in Germany where Tesla customers can charge their electric cars.
A further 68 superchargers are to be added in 2022.

If Tesla succeeds in realizing all these stations, the network would grow by around 60 percent by the end of the year.
Most of the locations had been known since August 2021, when Elon Musk's (50) company still assumed 55 new superchargers for 2022.
In 2022, Tesla plans to open 68 new supercharger locations.

Some of the locations have already been opened, such as in Neumünster.
However, the supercharger in Kiel is not scheduled to start until the second quarter of 2022.
Many other locations are also scheduled to start either in the first or second quarter, as Teslamag found out in a random sample.
For some stations, however, Tesla only states 2022.

Tesla: Hardly any gaps - expansion condenses supercharger network
In addition, it is also not certain that the superchargers will be built at the point where they are shown on the map.
Tesla initially plans these roughly as needed.
Ultimately, however, they are built where there is a suitable location for the charging station.
Since there are now hardly any gaps in the Tesla network, further superchargers are also to be built in the vicinity of large cities such as Berlin, Hamburg and Munich.
In addition, the network is to be further consolidated with stations in Leer, Osnabrück, Bielefeld, Marburg and Göttingen.
It is quite possible that Tesla will also release its superchargers for other electric cars in Germany at this rate of expansion.
This is already the case in the Netherlands, France and Norway.
