The German rock band Scorpions will return to Israel and perform on July 9 at Menora Mivtachim Hall.
This is as part of the world tour that bears the name of their new and 20th studio album, "ROCK BELIEVER", which will be released next weekend.
The current tour will take place 50 years after the band's first tour in Europe, in January 1972.
The band performed several times in Israel - at Bloomfield Stadium in July 2005, at Yad Eliyahu Hall in October 2010, July 2016 and July 2018. In addition, there was a private performance for high tech workers in March 2018. The summer show will be produced by Yoav Tzemach in collaboration with Shraga Bar.
"We really love Israel and look forward to performing again," said singer Klaus Meina.
The Scorpions were founded in 1965 in Hanover, Germany, by guitarist Rudolf Shenkar, and is also the only one left in the band from its first line-up.
She sings mostly in English, and over the years her musical style ranges from heavy rock, heavy metal, raw metal and soft rock.
They enjoyed the peak of their success from 1978 to 1992, and three of the band's five members during this period remain to this day - singer Klaus Meina (who sang on all of the band's studio albums), guitarist Matthias Yabs and as mentioned guitarist Shenkar.
The band has known many exchanges of members.
The band has sold over 100 million copies of its albums worldwide, performed thousands of times around the world, and is considered the best-selling heavy rock and heavy metal band in the world.
One of her best-known hits is the ballad "Wind of Change" which was released in 1990 on their 11th album "Crazy World".
The lyrics were written after the band's visit to the Soviet Union at the height of perestroika and shocked the political changes in Eastern Europe in the late 1980s and early 1990s including the fall of the Berlin Wall.
From the same album, the song "Send Me an Angel" also became a hit.
Two more hits of the band appeared on the ninth albums: "Still Loving You" and the song "Rock You Like A Hurricane".
