Of the internal 'secrets' of the Maranello factory concerning the first SUV in the history of Ferrari, only the initials of the project (175) and the possible commercial name (Purosangue) were known.

However, nothing had filtered beyond the gates of via Abetone Inferiore on the real aspect of this new model, strategic for the growth of the Prancing Horse, at least until a few hours ago, when two 'stolen' shots of a pre-series went viral after being spread on Instagram.

The appearance is partly similar to what had been anticipated with dozens of sketches and graphic reconstructions, with a very elongated car body (we are talking about 5 meters in total) to offer good roominess on the rear seats and an equally important bonnet to accommodate the engine. , also V12.

From the frontal image 'stolen' at the factory, however, we discover many new details, such as the horizontal U-shaped housing for the optical groups, and a central grille of limited dimensions to leave room for large side air intakes.

Completely new (and in some ways even unexpected) the dark tail ends around the wheel arches, one of the few SUV-style elements of the Purosangue.

The photo depicting the tail of the new Ferrari model at the factory reveals other details that had not been revealed by the many prototypes seen on the road with various types of masking and camouflage.

This is the case of the 'off-road' treatment of the lower extractor, which contains the four tailpipes and the original full-width lights, with small light elements (inspired by those of the recent 296 GTB) which enhance the mighty and muscular aspect of the rear.

Overall, the new Cavallino SUV seems to be positioned - in the luxury sector - between the more aggressive Urus Lamborghini and the two 'royal' models Bentley Bentayga and Rolls-Royce Cullinan, in direct competition with Aston Martin's DBX 707 SUV.

Now we will have to wait until next October, when Purosangue will be officially unveiled to find out under the hood the new generation naturally aspirated V12 engine that could deliver more than 830 Hp, a value more than enough to put this new Ferrari model on the 'throne' of the luxury suv segment.
