Outrageously expensive super sports cars such as those from Bugatti are currently selling like hotcakes - which leads to quite questionable offers.
Tokyo/Bologna – Electromobility is on the rise, the era of the internal combustion engine seems to be drawing to a close – unless e-fuels or hydrogen combustion engines still bring the rescue.
In any case, many millionaires currently see highly potent combustion engine sports cars with 12 cylinders (or even 16 in the Bugatti Chiron) as a promising investment.
Because not only the Chiron, but also, for example, the Lamborghini Aventador with a pure V12 engine and the Gordon Murray T.33, which is also equipped with a twelve-cylinder engine, are sold out - despite the exorbitant prices.
Now a questionable offer has appeared online: a dealer wants to sell an extremely rare Bugatti – but it doesn't even exist yet, as 24auto.de reports.
Questionable offer: Dealer sells Bugatti, which does not yet exist
No question: Many supercars are sold out before they are built - but in this case it's a little different.
The offer is a Bugatti Centodieci – a homage to the Bugatti EB 110 built in Campogalliano, Italy in the 1990s. The vehicle is based on the Chiron and is limited to ten units.
With such a rare model, the price is of course even higher than that of many other super sports cars: the original new price was at least eight million euros - all ten vehicles were quickly sold.
The Bugatti Centodieci pays homage to the EB 110 - only ten examples will be built.

Questionable offer: Bugatti production slot for a hammer price
But it seems that the current hype surrounding multi-cylinder super sports cars is continuing to flourish.
A Japanese dealer is now offering a non-existent Bugatti Centodieci on a Dutch online marketplace for luxury goods.
Only the production slot is sold, but with a hefty price premium: the Japanese seller wants 12.5 million euros for it.
(Only 30 km/h top speed: electric Bugatti does not even have 1 hp)
A questionable sales tactic used by the dealer in this case - in view of the current run on rare super sports cars, however, it is to be feared that such an approach will set a precedent in the future.
The offer will probably find a buyer despite the price premium.
However, he will have to be patient a little longer - because the noble car will probably not be delivered until 2023.
Provided that the buyer does not want to resell the slot himself.
