It will be a segment B SUV, particularly suitable also for city use, the first full electric model of the Jeep brand.
This was announced, showing a preview of two official images, the CEO of Stellantis Carlo Tavares during the presentation of the strategic plan Dare Forward 2030.
Very pleasant in design, which retains the typical style of the Jeep but updated in an EV key (with the characteristic front grille that no longer has openings for the passage of air) the new electric B-suv will almost certainly be built on the electric platform and PSA CMP, already used for the Peugeot e-208, for the Opel Corsa-e, for the DS3 Crossback E-Tense.
Taking the latter crossover as a reference, it is conceivable that even the first 100% electric Jeep could offer in the entry level variant a 100 kW (136 Hp) engine powered by a 50 kWh lithium-ion battery, for a autonomy that could reach 320 km.
In the 4x4 variant, this new model - whose name may be different from Renegade - will use a second engine to ensure effective all-wheel drive in line with the brand's DNA.
Tavares himself has announced that it will be launched next year, while from 2024 onwards the Jeep range will be enriched with a 'pure offroad' utility vehicle and a 'lifestyle family' SUV both with 100% electric propulsion.
