The ring around Russia is tightening:
The technology giant Apple announced last night (Tuesday) that in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, it will stop selling all its products in Russia.
The company also announced that it is stopping all exports to the country and restricting the use of the Apple Pay payment service.
Sales were halted following a letter sent last week by Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Mikhail Fedorov to Apple CEO Tim Cook demanding a halt to doing business with Russia and its citizens, in part by blocking access from the country to Appstore.
However, Silicon Valley sanctions against Moscow do not Stop here: Following the sanctions that most Western countries are involved in, credit cards from leading Russian banks have been removed from online payment services - including Apple Pay and Google Pay.

We do everything we can for our teams there and support local humanitarian efforts.
I think of the people who are currently under attack and join in all the calls for peace. "
