Trailer for the series "The worst partners in the world" (Netflix)

Apartment partnership is one of the most intriguing social phenomena in the modern age.

Men and women share the same space, live in the same space, and all this, usually, without prior acquaintance.

Millions of affiliate search ads are popping up on social media at any given moment, which is not surprising given the level of rent that continues to rise in the Western world.

A young person wants to live in the big city and pay a reasonable amount?

There is one option to do this - with affiliates.

In the world of television and film, partners have many faces.

They can be dirty, idle and stellar like Brad Pitt in "A Romance on Truth," mega-clean like Monica Geller in "Friends," or have a particularly severe OCD like Sheldon Cooper in "The Big Bang."

One thing they all have in common: they are unbearable, and these are the best of them.

As Jennifer Jason Lee demonstrated in "Need a Single Partner," it can be much worse.

You should do a background check.

The title "Worst Roommate Ever" (Hebrew "The Worst Partners in the World"), a new mini-series on Netflix, immediately caught my eye.

In clickbites it's hard to beat the streaming giant.

The first thought was about one of those trash series that features disturbing relationships between roommates and an apartment.

After all, a partner who leaves a pile of dishes in the sink, holds parties, turns the house into a latrine and casts a menacing shadow, produces a sense of caring on the one hand and curiosity on the other.

What is there to dislike?

It definitely looks like something worth watching.

But like any ClickByte, it did not really display the image I had in mind.

In contrast to the light-hearted cover, "The Worst Partners in the World" is not a series about accomplices who do pranks, but a crime docu that consists of various episodes, from murders (the first two episodes), through a sociopathic and violent crook (the third episode) to an invasive tenant (episodes 4 and 5) Who imposed his hat on various women he came to live with through ads on the infamous Craigslist site.

Extension of the concept of partner.

Let's talk first about the name of the series.

The first "partner" is Dorothea Puente, a woman from Sacramento who hosted and murdered helpless inmates in the 1980s.

The third "partner" is Yosef Hatter, a crook who deceived his girlfriend into a hostel and several other people who never lived near them.

Can these people be called 'partners'?

Let's say this is a very forced extension of the concept.

As a rule, the first three stories (the story in the middle is about a man who actually murdered his roommate) are completely banal and are presented without enthusiasm and disable any curious instinct.

These are criminals and non-unique crimes, which fit the familiar docu-crime patterns and we have seen quite a few of them on channels such as CBS Reality, National Geographic and also on Netflix itself.

The fact that we know who the criminals are from the beginning does not really contribute to the lack of interest, and all Netflix has to offer is very few real-time videos, some extreme illustrations of the characters and a lot of talking heads.

The last episode, which is divided into two episodes, is the one that justifies the name of the series and to a considerable extent also saves it.

Here is already a more accurate picture of a partner from hell, who cunningly manages, as stated through the formidable and careless Craigslist, to enter the apartments of women who have not done a comprehensive background check, take them over without paying, fear his presence and demonstrate exactly why no stranger should be trusted. Your home.

Very little to offer.

"The worst partners in the world" (Photo: Netflix)

"The Worst Partners in the World" is a series that promises much more than it holds.

It's not boring, you can definitely watch it at least in the background, but it's another unique docu that Netflix poured into the huge pot that incorporates real crime - a bit of murder, a bit of rogue, a bit of violence - in short, banal like another recipe for making white rice.

If you are in the business of the same heated stew that you have eaten more than once in the last few years, you can definitely compromise on this product.

If you're looking for something new and different, you're probably already familiar with this partnership with Netflix - and it's not that attractive enough for you to bring it into your home.
