Apocalypse (of zombies) now: This game will be one of the most fun in the near future Israel today

The plot in the multiplayer game Back 4 Blood is irrelevant, but when you get a chance to shoot non-stop at murderous zombies - do not really need one • Besides, it will give you great graphics and great sound, and especially lots of fun • Review

I've always been a freak of FPS games (shooting games from the shooter's point of view), from the days of Wolfinstein's Nazi castle through precision Newcomer 3D and Enril Tournament, to newer games like the excellent Doom Eternal.

For me, the really big fun in these games has always been that it's me against the world.

In recent years we have been experiencing a trend of a total transition to online, and with the acceptance of Back 4 Blood, which is a kind of sequel to the successful Left 4 Dead, I have had to dive into the abysses of the online.

The truth?

There's something really worth it about it.

Need four to tango

The number 4 is not just included in the name of the game, as we will always play it in a team of four trying to survive an endless zombie inferno.

There's nothing to go into the story and plot too much, because there really is no such thing.

There are zombies, lots of zombies, and you have to shoot them.

Who needs a plot?

It is enough.

The catch is that if we play solo, we have to play with three more bots that the "computer" will play, and if we play with even one friend, the other pair that will be with us will be bots.

Must have four tangos in this game.

Indeed, after years of playing independently on the various PS consoles I had, I succumbed to the trend, and to review Back 4 Blood I joined a friend who has been a champion online for years and years - and we started crushing zombies.

The game is not going to waste you time.

Because there is no serious preoccupation with an exhausting frame story, so does the pace of the game.

Want to give up tutorial?

You can instead dive immediately for the baptism of fire.

The campaign itself is divided into several stages, with each stage having a number of tasks.

The players are the "cleaners", and their goal is to "clean" the zombies that get in their way and perform the tasks assigned to them.

The missions are varied, whether it is to eliminate a particular zombie threat, to plant bombs that will destroy some evil source, to rescue people imprisoned in a place surrounded by the prey of death or to crush millions of undead waves with a machine gun.

All means are kosher, but you just have to survive the swarms of zombies on the way and get to the safe room at the end.

There are several different players to choose from in the game, each with a different name and different appearance, unique character as well as specific equipment.

During the game you will meet additional characters who will join the arsenal of players you can choose to play.

All Israel Brothers (Arms)

At the beginning of the game, it is recommended to try as many weapons as possible (you will receive them at the beginning of each mission and / or find them throughout the missions you perform), as well as ammunition refills, which can be done by paying the money you accumulate in the game or if you find the ammunition.

What's special about the game is that beyond the limitless mass killing it has, which of course you will have to get through together, many other things happen that require everyone's cooperation.

In a world full of zombies, the actor alone is not good.

As someone who first gave a non-local co-op a chance, I can say with a full mouth - play with friends, preferably with people you know, use headphones, talk to each other and enjoy a lot of fun and quite laugh-out-loud play (but that, of course, depends In the players you play against).

Also, there are a number of systems in the game that need to be understood and taken into account.

One of them is the Supply Points, which you can get in multiplayer game mode.

With the same points you can get special action cards for your characters, different skins for characters and weapons and more.

In each mission you can choose cards from the ones you have that you want, but there are also cards that will hurt you and you will have to choose them anyway (Corruption Cards).

Done and heard

There is no doubt that graphically the game looks great.

It does not have an amazing novelty or anything we have not seen before, but in terms of bugs we did not encounter anything unusual and also in terms of the very appearance of the zombies and the general feeling of the atmosphere that the game evokes, there is undoubtedly a proper zombie apocalypse.

The sound is amazing and really worth using the headphones and feeling the sound and the changes in the shooting and sounds coming from all directions.

The first sound at the opening of the game is of course of a great metal chord, and there is nothing better than that for a game that is all built on the purity of destroying those who come to destroy us.

Bottom line, Back 4 Blood is a multiplayer game that although it has the option to play solo, it is not as exciting and misses the point around the game.

If you're a solo player, this is definitely not a game for you.

If you're multiplayer players, here's a wonderful direction for hours of sheer pleasure in the unbridled killing of zombies.

The priority will always be to play with as many human players as possible and as few bots as possible, but since you will not always find four of these - it creates a big minus.

But there is no doubt - this is going to be one of the most fun games you will play in the near future.

Score: 7 out of 10 (Tested on PS5).
