Refueling is more expensive than ever in Germany.
Within a week, gasoline and diesel made a huge jump in price.
What does that mean in concrete terms for drivers?
Russia's war against Ukraine has again pushed fuel prices to record highs.
According to the ADAC evaluation, drivers in Germany currently have to pay 2.103 euros on average for a liter of
Super
E10
,
which is 27.6 cents more than in the previous week.
Even more dramatic is the increase
in
diesel
which is now significantly more expensive than the Super E10, as the ADAC announced on March 9 on its website.
A liter costs an average
of 2.150 euros
, which is a jump in price of 39.4 cents within a week.
War in Ukraine: Gasoline prices again at record highs
According to the ADAC, the fact that
diesel is currently more expensive than Super E10
is due to the currently very high demand for heating oil.
"This is actually atypical for the season, but apparently people are currently buying heating oil because they don't know how it will be next winter," said an ADAC spokesman in Munich, according to the German Press Agency (dpa) recently.

According to the ADAC, there have never been price jumps like the current one in Germany: "Within just one week, Super E10 rose by around
15 percent
, diesel even increased by more than
22 percent
," says the automobile club's website.
"With a tank filling of 50 liters, this corresponds to a
price difference
of almost
14 euros
for Super E10 and almost
20 euros
for diesel."
