Drama in "Dancing with the Stars": Bar Sommer and Matanel Konovsky retire from the show.
Under international format rules, Bar Sommer and her dance partner Matanel Konevsky are forced to retire from the competition after Sommer was injured as part of rehearsals for the live broadcast phase that began today at Rainbow 12. After treatment and examination, doctors determined Sommer broke her leg and therefore needed several weeks to rest.
In parting from Bar Sommer and her partner Matanel Konovsky, which took place tonight (Monday) with the start of the live broadcast phase of "Dancing with the Stars," the judges and the other contestants on the show said goodbye.
Anna Aronov, one of the judges on the show, choked on tears and told her how much they expected her to make it to the finals.
Judge David Dvir thanked her very much, said he gave up and the judges love her and are convinced that they will meet in the future.
Sommer thanked everyone in tears.
Not only Bar Sommer was injured during rehearsals in "Dancing with the Stars."
Yael Bar Zohar, Eden Pines and Adi Ashkenazi were also injured but recovered and returned to dance.
