Tarbut learned that the Habima Theater will stage the first adaptation of the acclaimed and successful film "My Beloved Aviva", written and directed by Shemi Zarchin and released in 2006. The film won six Ophir Awards, including Best Picture and Best Actress Award.
The film garnered additional awards in Israel and around the world, and was watched by about 300,000 people.
The play is scheduled to go up during this year at the National Theater.
The stage adaptation of Zarchin's screenplay will be written by Erez Driggs, and the director will probably be Moshe Kaftan, Habima's artistic director.
Castings have not yet been determined.
According to sources in the theater, there is a reasonable possibility that Assi Levy will return to her unforgettable role, but this has not yet been decided.
