A car interior cleaning not only makes the vehicle shine, but also preserves its value.
With these little tips and home remedies, the car will shine again.
For some it's a chore, for others it's something good that can be done for the car: cleaning the interior of the car.
We give you tips for cleaning the fittings and upholstery - without a lot of chemicals.
Cleaning the car: First comes the pre-cleaning
Before you start unpacking your vacuum cleaner and cleaning cloths, there are a few basic things that need to be taken care of first.
Above all, dust collectors such as mats and carpets should be removed from the car.
They contain the most dirt and distribute it in the interior.
Then it's time to clean the interior:
To do this, vacuum the entire floor area and the seats

Most dirt and dust settles where the backrest and seat meet.
You should therefore pay special attention to these points.
Then you can turn your attention to the trunk and - if there is a spare wheel in it - to the wheel well*.
When you have thoroughly vacuumed all of these surfaces, it is time to thoroughly clean the seat cushions.
If these are extremely dirty, vacuuming alone is no longer sufficient.

Don't forget when cleaning the inside of your car: joints and cracks
If you want to save time, you usually leave out the joints and cracks when cleaning the interior.
They are often small and difficult to reach.
However, this can easily be changed if you have the right attachment for the vacuum cleaner.
It should be as narrow as possible and fitted with a
small brush head
.
Alternatively, a simple paint brush with soft bristles can be used.
This allows you to get into the cracks relatively easily, remove dust and vacuum it up immediately.
But be careful: The holder of the bristles should not be made of metal, but
of plastic
.
Otherwise there is a risk of scratches in the equipment.

Once you have worked through the first two points, it's on to the plastic surfaces.
Fittings are easy to clean
with warm water and a lint-free microfiber cloth
.
Wring out the cloth well after dipping it in the water - it should be damp - and wipe the surfaces with it.

Also, don't forget to keep rinsing the cloth to remove dirt.
Otherwise, you end up spreading the dust instead of removing it.
However, you should keep the water away from switches and other electronic parts.
It is better to use a fine brush or

: If water and a microfiber cloth are not enough, you can add a drop of washing-up liquid.
