April 1st approaches with a 'potentially dangerous' asteroid: known by the initials 2007 FF1 is 110 meters by 260 meters large and will 'touch' the Earth passing over 7 million kilometers, in complete safety and about 20 times the distance separates from the Moon.

A few days ago a smaller asteroid, called 2022 FB2 and 15 meters wide and discovered only a few hours before its close passage, instead greeted our planet passing only 150 thousand kilometers away.

Discovered in 2007, due to its size and relatively close orbit to that of the Earth, asteroid 2007 FF1 has been included in the list of potentially dangerous asteroids.

It is a large cosmic stone that travels at 48 thousand kilometers per hour and which is part of a type of asteroids called Apollo class which include about 15 thousand other objects characterized by having an orbit around the Sun very similar to that of the Land.

The asteroid that was photographed a few days ago by the Virtual Telescope will make its close passage to the Earth on the night of April 1 to stage an April Fool in complete safety, remaining about 20 times the distance that separates us from the Moon.

On March 28, a smaller asteroid instead made a close pass, at 150 thousand kilometers or less than half the Earth-Moon distance, and was identified on March 26 by the network of observers around the world.
