The ADAC camping portal "Pincamp" has evaluated prices from more than 2,500 campsites in Germany and Europe.

Average accommodation costs.

Camping holidays*

are on average more expensive in

Bavaria

than in many other federal states.

This shows an evaluation of the ADAC camping portal "Pincamp".

The prices of more than 2,500 campsites in Germany and Europe

were evaluated

.

According to this, a

family with two adults and a ten-year-old child

will get away the cheapest this year in

Saarland

(with an average of 32.29 euros per night) or in

Saxony-Anhalt

, with 33.21 euros.

ADAC: Average prices for overnight stays in campsites in Germany

"Camping holidays in the tourist strongholds of

Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania

(EUR 42.63),

Schleswig-Holstein (EUR 40.66), Baden-Württemberg

(EUR 40.20) and

Bavaria

(EUR 39.17) are comparatively expensive," it says further in the message.

In a European comparison, these federal states are "still well below the average".

Thuringia

, the cheapest federal state in the previous year, is now in the middle with a price increase of seven percent with 34.20 euros.

After a price increase of three percent compared to the previous year, a camper family with two adults and a ten-year-old child will pay " an average of 38.33 euros per night

in this country" in 2022

.

This means that

Germany

remains “again the second cheapest European camping country” after

Sweden

(37.41 euros).

According to ADAC, the comparison price includes the

car or caravan parking space

and the most important

additional costs such as electricity, hot showers and visitor's tax

, according to a report by the German Press Agency on the occasion of the evaluation.

The prices therefore refer to the

high season

and pitches with an ADAC classification of three or more stars.

That's how much camping accommodation costs in Switzerland, Croatia and Italy

According to the country comparison, a family of the size mentioned will pay

the highest

overnight prices in

Switzerland

in 2022 (64.15 euros).

Followed by

Croatia

(60.37 euros) and

Italy

(60.28 euros).

Austria also cracked the 50 euro mark for the first time this year, according to the statement, among other things.

According to the analysis, apart from

Germany

and

Sweden

, you only pay less than 50 euros per night in

Denmark

, the

Netherlands

and

France

.
