The shooting attack in Tel Aviv took place a few minutes after the popular play "Crossing the Wall" began at the Beit Lessin Theater near the scene of the attack.
A thousand people were inside the theater hall.
Despite the attack on the street outside the theater, it was decided to continue the show as usual and not to stop.
The theater said they were following police instructions.
"During the show there are no exits and no entrances. All entrances are secure," it was added.
Theater director Tzipi Pines confirmed the allegations and told Walla! Culture that the police asked not to inform the audience about the attack and not to take the audience out. "They are in a safe place," she added.
Evelyn the Redeemer, who plays in the play, told Walla! The scenes, because the actors' feelings were difficult. "We are very stressed.
When I got dressed I heard ambulances, we looked out the window and realized there was a terrorist attack.
Behind the scenes there were some cops and when I saw them it really stressed me out, they guarded the elevator.
"We're in the theater the whole event. Trembling with fear the whole show. The show goes on, the hall is full, but every second there are ambulances outside that the actors and the audience hear. I do not understand how it happens. We go on stage and I do not understand how. I do not know how we continue as usual. "To the stage to play, and immediately get down to the phone. I had a million messages. I think we will remain imprisoned here," she added.
One of the viewers in the show told Walla!
Culture that although the show continued, the audience found it difficult to ignore what was happening outside.
"There was a lot of noise here twenty minutes ago," she said. "The crowd is really unfocused, everyone is on the phones."
Other cultural events in the city took place as usual, including the solemn performance of David Broza at the Hall of Culture where he hosted Yoni Rechter and Yuval Dayan.
