The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class stands for pure luxury.
With the fashion designer Virgil Abloh († 2021), the Stuttgart-based company has developed a special model.
Stuttgart – Those who like luxury are in the right place at Mercedes-Benz.
It is not without reason that the people of Stuttgart advertised for a while with the slogan "The best or nothing" in order to underline their own claim to leadership to the outside world.
If models like the G- or S-Class still don't offer enough luxury, you should find what you are looking for at the luxury subsidiary Mercedes-Maybach.
This caused a stir in December 2021 with the Project Maybach show car.
This was designed by none other than fashion designer Virgil Abloh (41, † 2021), who among other things worked as artistic director at Louis Vuitton.
However, the American did not live to see the premiere of the show car himself, as he died of a heart attack in November 2021.
However, the collaboration with Mercedes-Maybach does not end there, because Abloh has designed another vehicle for the Stuttgart company: a special edition of the Mercedes-Maybach S 680.

This is based on the new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class from 2023, as reported by 24auto.de.
However, the special edition is strictly limited and will only be built in an edition of 39 pieces.
"I'm incredibly proud of the work we created in collaboration with Virgil," said Gorden Wagner, Chief Designer at Mercedes-Benz.
The fashion designer worked with him on the design concept for the luxury sedan and completed it before his death.

Of course, the popular two-tone paintwork should not be missing on a special model.
Abloh chose an almost golden-looking beige as the main colour.
As a contrast, the roof, bonnet and A, B and C pillars are painted in black.
The same color combination was also used in the Project Maybach.
Mercedes-Maybach: two-tone look in the interior too
The color concept is also repeated in the interior of the Mercedes-Maybach S 680.
The steering wheel is also kept in the two-tone look.
The seats, door panels, armrests and the lower part of the dashboard are trimmed with beige leather.
Black leather is then used from the middle screen.
In addition, a special Mercedes-Maybach and Virgil Abloh logo was engraved in the piano black center of the center console, the rear seat cushions, the door sills and the headrests.
The limited luxury S-Class also gets a bespoke user interface, which is an even more 'luxe' version of the standard MBUX system.
The Mercedes-Maybach S 680 continues to be powered by a 6.0-liter V12 engine, which the group no longer uses in any other model.
