The Man and the Voice: Comedian Gilbert Gottfried passed away at age 67
The American-Jewish comedian has died after a battle with a serious illness.
He has starred in television and film, and among other things dubbed Yago from "Aladdin".
His family: "Aside from the fact that his voice became the most iconic voice in the history of comedy, Gilbert was a wonderful husband, brother, friend and father to his two children."

The Jewish-American actor, comedian and stand-up comedian Gilbert Gottfried has died at the age of 67. He has held a number of roles in television and film, including voicing the voice of Iago, the parrot from the Disney animated film Aladdin.
A message posted by his family on his Twitter page read: "With a broken heart we announce the death of our beloved Gilbert Gottfried after a long illness. Aside from the fact that his voice became the most iconic voice in comedy history, Gilbert was a wonderful husband, brother, friend and father to his two children. "It's very sad for us. We ask that you continue to laugh in Gilbert's honor."
Gilbert passed away as a result of a heart problem caused by chronic muscle disease.
Gottfried was born in New York.
In 1980 he joined the cast of the program Saturday Night Live in its sixth season.
In 1990 he played Mr. Peabody in the movie "Honey, The Boy Went Crazy", and returned to that role in the sequels, "Honey, The Boy Went Crazy 2" and "Honey, The Boy Went Crazy 3".
He also voiced a number of characters in the series "The Show of Ren and Stimpy" and "The Magic of Parents".
He became famous mainly after dubbing Yago, the parrot from the movie "Aladdin", a role that also dubbed again in the sequels "Jaffer's Return" and "Aladdin and the King of Thieves", as well as in the TV series.
In 2009 he starred in the children's film "Jack and the Peas" starring Chloe Grace Mortz.
In 2016 he played Trevor Friedman in the comedy drama "The Comedian" starring Robert De Niro.
