As underlined by the British press, which has had the opportunity to come into contact with disguised prototypes, the company's commitment is to raise the bar of content and performance (but also of prices) to counteract even on the front of profitability of rival models, essentially German.

To do this, JLR will use the MLA Flex platform for the new Range Rover Sport on which the Range Rover model has already made its debut and which promises to be much more rigid and refined - even in terms of dynamics on the road - especially in the high-end versions such as the Range. Rover Sport SVR.

In this variant a new engine should also make its debut in place of the current supercharged V8 of Ford origin, replaced by the 4.4 with identical splitting that will be sold to JLR by BMW.

This is the same Twin Turbo engine already adopted by the X6M which, in the version for Range Rover Sport, should exceed 600 HP to make it the most powerful Range ever.

In addition to the top-of-the-range SVR models, the British manufacturer is expected to announce on May 10 a wide range of solutions 'tailored' to customer needs and partially in contrast to the announced 100% electric strategy.

Mild hybrid diesel and petrol options are planned, with some six-cylinder plug-in hybrid variants expected to offer a range in EV mode of around 100km.

Also in this area - we read in the British magazine Autocar which has reconstructed the possible appearance of the Range Rover Sport 2023 - it is likely that the collaboration with BMW could materialize in the Phev versions.
