Drama in Italy.
A 45-year-old Frenchman and his 11-year-old son were killed in a car accident on the A21 motorway in the Pavia region of Lombardy, in the north of the country, overnight from Thursday to Friday according to Italian police .
After a collision with another vehicle near the town of Lungavilla, 60 kilometers south of Milan, the car overturned and the child died after being thrown out of the passenger compartment.
The father, who had got out of the car to try to help him, was hit by another vehicle.
The mother and three other children hospitalized
The identity of the two victims has been communicated to the French consulate in Milan.
Four other passengers were inside the damaged vehicle: the 43-year-old mother, and three other children, aged 4, 14 and 15.
They were hospitalized, but their condition is not cause for concern.
The four passengers who were in the other vehicle involved in the collision were hospitalized.
Their days are not in danger.
