Lamborghini presents the new Huracán GT3 EVO2, designed and developed by the Squadra Corse di Sant'Agata Bolognese based on the Huracán STO with which it shares important design elements, rear-wheel drive only and the aspirated V10 engine, which in the road version delivers 640 horsepower. power.

    Compared to the Huracán GT3 EVO, homologated in 2019 on a road Huracán EVO basis, the GT3 EVO2 fully complies with the new FIA 2022 technical regulation and features new aerodynamic solutions and an intake system.

The hexagonal aircoop design and the rear fin derive from Huracán STO and contribute to greater efficiency of the intake system and a better balance of the car.

    The aircoop is connected to a snorkel, replacing the side air intakes, which directs the air flow directly into the engine, making the response more responsive to the pilot's requests.

The introduction of 10 electronically actuated throttle bodies increases the efficiency of the V10 with titanium valves;

the entire system, designed by Lamborghini Squadra Corse, is fixed to the engine by only four screws, a solution introduced for the first time on the Essenza SCV12, to facilitate maintenance interventions.

   The full carbon bodywork sports a muscular design created in collaboration with the Lamborghini Style Center.

New splitters, diffuser and bottom improve aerodynamic efficiency.

The carbon bottoms, covered in high-strength Zylon fiber, together with the new diffuser guarantee greater aerodynamic load than the current GT3 EVO.

The innovations also concern the rear wing, fixed on aluminum alloy pillars, inspired by those of the STO.

The new supports allow greater precision in the adjustment of the wing itself compared to those of the EVO model.

The car is delivered with Pirelli tires, historic Squadra Corse partner, PZero from 325 / 680-18 at the front and 325 / 705-18 at the rear.

The redesigned rollcage, with the introduction of two rear uprights,

    The braking system has also been updated with new calipers and pads designed by Squadra Corse to optimize performance in both endurance and sprint races.

These solutions, combined with dedicated traction control (TCS) and anti-lock braking (ABS) systems, have been developed to make the car easily controllable in conditions of low grip even by gentlemen drivers.

    "The new Huracán GT3 EVO2 - coomends Giorgio Sanna, Lamborghini Head of Motorsport - is not simply an evolution of the current car. It is a new project that strengthens the technology transfer between the Lamborghini motorsport department and the company and that inherits two difficult tasks: prove to be as successful as previous generations of Huracán GT3s, capable of conquering over 40 international titles in six seasons, and equal their commercial success by helping to reach the target of 500 racing Huracáns sold since 2015 ".

    The car will be delivered to customers starting in the second half of 2022. All Huracán GT3 EVO models can be upgraded to GT3 EVO2 specifications via an evolution kit.

The track debut is scheduled for the 2023 Daytona 24 Hours.
