American actor Mike Hagerty began his life at the age of 67, according to actress Bridget Everett, who recently played his daughter in the starring series, "Someone Somewhere" by HBO (in Israel Bite, Hot and Cellcom Tiwi).
The cause of death was not given.
"With great sadness, Michael G. Gertie's family announced his death yesterday in Los Angeles," Everett shared on Instagram today (Friday).
"A beloved character actor, his love for his hometown of Chicago and his family were the cornerstones of his life. Mike, a devoted husband, left behind his wife Mary Catherine, his sister Mary Ann Gertie and his wife Kathleen O'Rourke, and their daughter Meg. He will be greatly missed."
"I loved Mike as soon as I met him," Everett added in a second post she dedicated to him on Instagram.
"He was so special. Hot, funny, never met a stranger. We Russians are gone. Mike was revered by the entire cast of 'Someone Somewhere.' Our thoughts were with his wife and family."

Hagerty's most famous role is Mr. Trigger from "Friends," the maintenance man in the building where Monica, Rachel, Chandler, and Joey lived.
In addition, he starred alongside great comedians in series that did not last long - in 1994 he starred with George Carlin for two seasons on The George Carlin Show on the Fox network, and in 2006 he starred with Louis CK in HBO's "Lucky Louis" series.
Beyond that he has played guest roles in many series, including "Free at the Bar," "ER," "Seinfeld," "Brooklyn Nine Nine," "Community," "Grey's Anatomy," "Mindy" and more.
