Hit after hit: We saw Maroon 5 in Abu Dhabi and did not stop dancing for a moment

Just before she arrives in Israel, we watched a performance of Maroon 5 at the Etihad Stadium in Abu Dhabi alongside 20,000 enthusiastic fans.

Adam Levin looks younger than ever on stage.

He bursts with energy, joy and creativity and provided us with two hours of constant hits

(Watch excerpts from Maroon 5's performance in Abu Dhabi)

Twenty years (less than a month and a half) exactly after the release of her debut album, the Maron 5 band landed in Israel tonight, ahead of two performances that will take place on Monday and Tuesday in Hayarkon Park, produced by Liv Nation Israel.

The show in Israel takes place as part of the band's tour of the Middle East, which also included Egypt and the United Arab Emirates.

Many years have passed since the last time American politicians came to a regional mediation round in the Middle East.

We’ll settle for American musicians doing a regional tour.

The band arrives in Israel after some fear of a possible cancellation that has been pecked out over the past few weeks.

Among other things, due to the recent security escalation (and a severe attack on Elad two days before the band landed) and due to political pressure exerted on the band members.

Thus, for example, already in February, immediately after the announcement of the band's arrival in Israel, Egyptian BDS activists made headlines when they condemned Adam Levin and his friends for coming to Israel.

Prior to the performance, a number of Israeli reporters, including the author of these lines, were sent on behalf of the production to see the appearance of Maroon 5 in Abu Dhabi.

There is a hotel near the Etihad Stadium where the show took place, where there are also members of Maron 5. In retrospect we found out we missed a possible chance meeting with Adam Levin who updated in his story that he was injured in the pool with his toe when he moved a chair.

Three days before her first appearance in Tel Aviv, and three days after her appearance in Egypt, came the big night of the Maroon 5 appearance in the UAE capital.

The energetic band performed there in front of about 20,000 people.

The fact that Maroon 5 appear in Abu Dhabi is proof that the UAE is the center of the world.

"This is the most advanced country in the world," Assad, a young Pakistani living in Abu Dhabi, told us before the stadium began.

When I was a little kid I heard the song This Love, and it's still their song I love the most.

You said you're from Israel, so tell me, Gal Gadot, who appeared in their clip, will appear on stage with them?

" Was seen on the big screen behind the stage in the clip in question for the song "Girl Like You" while performing on stage.

On an evening when the weather outside approached 40 degrees (!) Luckily the stadium was covered and there was air conditioning.

Alongside the cooling was also a warm-up - DJ MailBox who also signed as producer of some of the band's songs and its sound technician, and Jordanian singer Issam Anjar.

The audience of the show, like the population of Abu Dhabi, was overwhelmingly made up of immigrants and a few locals.

In the capital of the country, which is eye-popping in its prestige, the glow seems far from Adam Levin, who looks like a man from the settlement - he took the stage in a really casual gray shirt and pants and opened with the song "Move Like a Jagger".

But it is precisely in this simplicity of his that there is great charm.

He continued with "This Love", which appeared on the band's debut album, and picked up with a guitar solo.

In a hit show I chased a hit (so as not to spoil you for the show in Israel - we will not expand), and the amount of smiles on my face even exceeded the number of tattoos on Mr. Levin's body.

"After twenty years I am no longer a child," Shmulik Kraus once sang to the words of Yankele Rotblit.

But twenty years after the Maroon 5 band released their debut album, Adam Levin totally still looks like a kid on stage, both in energies, both in creativity and in the young block.

We are left only to envy and not to stop dancing.
