In addition to new and used cars, basic vehicles for motorhomes are now also scarce.

The result is long delivery times, as a survey shows.

Motorhomes

and

caravans

remain in demand, but are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain.

According to a survey by the management consultancy GSR and the opinion research institute Miios, the average

delivery time

has doubled in many cases.

71 percent of the retailers surveyed now state more than twelve months.

Only five percent of the companies continue to assume the usual six months before Corona.

In addition to high demand, the background to the halting production is the persistently

poor availability of materials and basic vehicles due to the pandemic and the Ukraine war

.

Motorhomes are particularly badly affected, while the availability of caravans, which are less in demand, tends to be somewhat better.

For 84 percent of the retailers surveyed, the delivery problem is currently the greatest challenge.

Above all, the unclear situation and the associated planning uncertainty is difficult to convey to many customers, according to the study.

Especially when planning a

vacation

.

Companies are also worried about

inflation

(32 percent) and rising

energy prices

(26 percent).
